Terms, payment and refunds

Effective 17 September 2026. These terms apply to every order placed through brand.markus.marketing with WWW.DIRECTORY.COM.AU PTY LTD (ABN 68 090 816 461) ("Markus Marketing", "we").

1. The service

Markus Marketing Brand Audit generates written reports about a website using an automated crawler, publicly available web pages, a live web-search sample where the report includes one, and AI analysis. Reports are delivered as web pages reachable by private link and are yours to read, print and share.

2. Your authorisation

By placing an order you confirm that you own the nominated website or are authorised to have it audited (for example as its agency, consultant or employee). Competitor homepages are fetched for comparison only. Our crawler identifies itself, fetches at most a few dozen public pages, and respects reasonable rate limits.

3. Payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. Generation starts only after payment is confirmed by our server or a valid discount code is applied. A code that reduces the price to zero creates an order with no payment.

4. Delivery

Reports are normally ready within an hour of payment; complex orders can take longer. We email the address you provide when reports are ready, and the order page shows progress. Delivery may fail if the website is unreachable, blocks crawlers, requires a login, or renders no content without JavaScript.

5. Refunds

If a report cannot be generated, we will regenerate it or refund that report in full to the original payment method. If a report is delivered but you believe it is materially defective (for example it audited the wrong website because of a redirect), contact us within 14 days through the support form, quoting your order reference, and we will regenerate or refund it. Because reports are generated on demand, we do not otherwise refund delivered reports for change of mind. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Card payments receive a Stripe receipt and tax invoice (linked from the order page). Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

6. What the reports are

Reports are general information produced by automated analysis. They are not legal, financial, engineering, accounting or other professional advice, and they do not guarantee any search ranking, traffic, enquiry or revenue outcome. Findings labelled Verified reproduce measured facts as at the time of the crawl; findings labelled Assessment are professional judgement generated by an AI model and may contain errors. You are responsible for checking recommendations before acting on them.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to audit websites you are not authorised to audit, to harass a business, to probe systems for vulnerabilities, or to overload the service. We may refuse or cancel orders that breach these terms and refund any payment.

8. Intellectual property

You own the reports generated for your order and may use them for any lawful purpose. We retain the crawler, the templates, the prompts and the service itself. Public sample reports are provided for illustration only.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where the Australian Consumer Law implies a guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding its cost.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force when you order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
